I had a very exciting day visiting the National Space Office (NSPO) in Hsinchu. I got to see testing on the first six COSMIC-2 / FORMOSAT-7 weather satellites, which are scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of 2016. By measuring atmospheric changes to GPS satellite signals, these sensors will provide scientists all around the world with a much greater understanding of the Earth’s weather and climate. A taste of Christmas in Taiwan!
2017/5/20 -- We wanted to go to Honghegu Waterfall, but because of bad weather we hiked up the nearby Rainbow Waterfall trail instead. On our way we encountered more leeches than I'm comfortable with. I may or may not have screamed.
